(Keyboarding/Violin/Flute/ Guitar/ Uklele/ Guitar & Drum Combo)
Group classes are arranged for Pre K ~ 3rd grade students (beginning to early intermediate music level). Classes will allow students to have a solid musical foundation in the instrument they choose. The number of the students will be between 3 and 6 to keep the class hands-on.
Music Ala Carte
This is a great option for the younger students to explore various different instruments such as Keyboarding, Piano, violin, guitar, recorder, percussion Instruments (Drums/ Hand Bells/ Xylophone) movement, singing, and music theory. Students will be also able to find the instrument they like by the last day of the class.
String players who are between 3rd grade and high school will be able to form different Chamber Orchestras. The Orchestras will be based on age group, experience, and instrumentation. They will play songs from many different time periods, from Bach to Pop and Ballet to Latin! They will have an annual performance. This is a good class for those interested in preparing for high school orchestra and youth orchestra auditions. Our instructor is an experienced teacher and has been coaching in the Bay Area's youth orchestra. The instructor has also been performing in some of the major orchestras in the area.
Any brass instrument player from 3rd grade to high school (will form different band depending on the age and the level) will be able to join to the band . They will play pieces from many different time periods such as Baroque/ Classical/ Romantic/ Contemporary. They will have an annual performance. This is a good class for those interested in preparing for high school band and youth symphonic band auditions. Our faculty has been coaching in the Bay Area's youth band and also performs in many professional groups in the area.
Jazz/ Pop Theory & Improvisation Band
Our renowned and popular instructor will be coaching fun Jazz music for 4th grader~high school Wind and Brass Instrument students. They will also learn Jazz theory and improvisation techniques.
This class is for students in 6th grade though high school who love drumming. Our instructor will not only teach many hand and mallet techniques, but will also introduce the happiness of different types of drumming from all over the world.
Song Writing and Recording Technique
This is a class for all those interested in learning the details of recording. Our instructor has studied the newest recording techniques from the top Pop & Jazz school in the United States. Students will also have a chance to compose their own songs and record Pop & Rock band songs in the coolest and the best way possible.
Pop & Rock 101
This Class is for 4th grade~ high school students whose playing level is intermediate and up. They will form a simulation band to enjoy jamming to improve their skills in the real band setting. Students tend to have fun to jam by themselves and with their peers, but this is a good coaching opportunity for a real professional musician teacher to suggest many techniques and support them.
Music Theory Intermediate (CM/ABRSM/CAPMAT/ROCM)
The class is for the student whose goal is to achieve any certification. The target level will be Level 4 to Level 6 (Royal Level 3~ 5 student). Students will have many quizzes and simulation testings in class. They will also learn ear training, sight reading, and have some repertoire performances. Students will be motivated by their peers to successfully achieve their goals.
Music Theory Advanced (AP Theory/CM/ABRSM/CAPMAT/ROCM)
The class is for the student whose goal is to achieve any certification. The target level will be Level 7~Level 10 (Advanced Placement/Royal Level 6~8). Student will have many advanced quizzes and simulation testings. They will also learn ear training, sight reading, and have some repertoire performances. Students will be motivated by their peers to successfully achieve their goals.
